Plastic bottles to Sail boat!!!!!!!!

Plastic, the wonder material that we use for everything, is perhaps the most harmful of this trash because it does not readily break down in nature. Careless disposal of plastics can have dire consequencesPlastics pose a serious enough threat to the marine environment .
Recycling of plastics is desirable because it avoids their accumulation in landfills.

Imagine a sail boat is being made by recycling thousands of plastic bottles.

This boat has to undertake a voyage from California to Australia through the treacherous sea and is called “Plastiki”. David de Rothschild, the adventurer hopes his one-of-kind vessel will boost recycling of plastic bottles and will be a model of how a consumer waste can be repurposed

Inventions- A hazard or a comfort?



Iam sure, all of us very often think "Oh God!How I wish I had a machine to do this".This wish has led to many inventions as mentioned in Mr Badrnarayanan's blog on Blink and play-hitech laziness.


With the advent of each inventions, our limbs are becoming more and more still.Necessary evils of the advancement of technology!!!!!!!!!.

Human urge for comforts are crazily increasing.
I have read, man is the only animal who cannot be fully satisfied.He gallops from one comfort zone to the other-never ending.

I will show you a very interesting invention contributed very recently.
Farmer Wu Yulu drives his rickshaw pulled by a his self-made walking robot near his home in a village at the outskirts of Beijing January 8, 2009. This robot is the latest and largest development of hobby inventor Wu, who started to build robots in 1986, made of wire, metal, screws and nails found in rubbish sites. (REUTERS/Reinhard Krause)
